The International Association of Golf Administrators (IAGA) has announced a partnership with the National Alliance for Accessible Golf (the Alliance) to provide IAGA member associations and the golf facilities they serve with educational resources to facilitate the growth of adaptive golf.

Volunteer and Staff Training for Adaptive Golf Events

- Join Dave Barton, PGA, Executive Director of the National Alliance for Accessible Golf and Jason Sfire, National Alliance Board Member, Board President of the Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association and a multi-sport adaptive athlete and coach as they discuss the importance of educating adaptive event volunteers and staff on working with and supporting adaptive athletes. Dave and Jason will provide an overview of the education and resources provided by the Alliance at no-cost to the golf industry with an emphasis on the newly released “Volunteer and Staff Training for Adaptive Golf Events” including types of impairments, disability etiquette and communications. Learn how event coordinators can steer staff and volunteers to complete this training and earn a Certificate of Completion.

Learn the basics of what accessible and inclusive really mean and your role and responsibilities related to compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and how you can be acknowledged as a National Alliance Recognized Accessible Golf Facility.

Onboarding Training Series for Golf Facility Leadership and Staff

- Join Dave Barton, PGA, Executive Director of the National Alliance for Accessible Golf as he provides and overview of the “Onboarding Training Series for Golf Facility Leadership and Staff” designed to provide the foundation for a welcoming, accessible and inclusive environment at your golf facility or those you may be working with in your state or region for adaptive golf competitions or programming. The Onboarding Training Series connects the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) to golf facility operations to simplify what operators need to know and do, including recommended policy templates for cart path only scenarios, service animals and more. This training is provided at no-cost on the Alliance Education Hub, participants earn a certificate of completion, and it is approved for PGA, LPGA, GCSAA and CMAA Education Credits.
